Dr Okon Amasi B.Sc, PGD, MBA, DBA (FOUNDER)

Dr Amasi is the Founder of Mutual Alliance Mortgage Bank Limited. He Led strategic Investors acquired the bank over 24 years ago and built it into the powerhouse it is today.

Dr. Amasi has over 30 years of experience in commercial banking, out of which over 10 Years were spent in Executive Management.

Dr. Amasi’s core area of competence includes Banking operations, Treasury operations, Mortgage Banking, Commercial and Consumer banking, as well as the public sector Marketing/Corporate Finance. Dr. Amasi has worked in several Banks, including Diamond Bank Ltd, United Bank for Africa Plc, Mutual Alliance Mortgage Bank Ltd (where he once served as Managing Director at Societe General Bank Nigeria Ltd, where he was an Executive Director.

Dr. Amasi is a Registered Marketer and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Marketing, a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration of Nigeria and the Institute of Directors as well as Chairman of many companies, including Procom Dynamics Ltd., Satellite Wireless Networking Nig. Ltd and TKM Meastro Ltd, Kenya. He has served on the Board of several Companies, including De-Petraco Leasing Ltd., First Assurance Plc, and Dowell Engineering & Construction Ltd, and is presently a member of the Governing Board of the Institute of Management & Finance. He is currently the Chairman of Mutual Alliance Group.

The University of Uyo awarded Dr. Amasi the Distinguished Alumnus Award. He has served in various capacities in the public service, a member of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group and was on the board of Abuja Investment Company (the Investment arm of the Federal Capital territory).

Dr. Amasi was awarded the chieftaincy Title of Iberedem Uyo (i.e. Pillar of Uyo) by the Paramount Ruler of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State for his outstanding achievements and Contributions to Akwa Ibom State.

Dr. Amasi holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom, and he is happily married to Mbuotidem, with two sons.
